Ahoy, Maties! Greetings and felicitations on adventuring to the Red Rum Pirate Folk Band's Official website. We perform a Comedic Folk music show with Pirate tunes, Original songs, Traditional European and Colonial music for Renaissance Faires, Medieval Festivals, Historical Events, Pubs, Geek/Gaming Conventions, Wine and Beer Festivals, Talk Like a Pirate Day Events, Halloween Festivals, River Cruises, Conventions, Weddings, Corporate Events,  Pirate Festivals and more throughout the MidWest!

The impressively costumed* Red Rum Band has been bringing their toe-tapping, dancing, stomping folk music to fans in the Mid-West since 2014. This three man strong Indiana band weaves a tale of sea voyages, lost ships, ridiculous dad jokes, nautical puns, drinking mishaps, and comedic high-seas adventures. *Due to Rum's extensive onboard chests of plundered clothing, we can adjust our pirate costuming to your event theming with enough advanced notice (i.e. pirate, fae/gnomes, historical, viking, sci-fi space pirates, steampunk airship crew).

The band consists of Members: Adam “Captain Red” Fivush (plays 12-string rhythmn guitar, and the main songwriter/arrangement maker), Andrea “Rum the Gunner/Cookie” Fivush (plays 21-string chromatic autoharp, mountain dulcimer, bowed psaltry, symphony hurdy gurdy, hammered dulcimer) and Tim “Minstrel Scurvy” Hoke (plays mandola, harmonica, bowed psaltry, tin whistle, fiddle, spoons, jaw harp and anything not nailed down). **

Red Rum has most recently been working on their latest album, The Ship Hit the Fan, which will be available for purchase in 2025 at shows and or by contacting the band here for direct shipping.

Always ready with a jolly comedy and song show about the High Seas, the band has been invited back for performances at Renaissance faires, pirate-themed events, Steampunk, neighborhood markets and local festivals, geek/gaming/Sci-fi Conventions, wineries, pubs, fans’ private parties, retirement communities, libraries and weddings.
